OUR

Will you be adding new material?
If there's enough demand, we'll certainly be recording new jam tracks.
Why not send us your request?
Who
made this stuff?
Jan Cyrka and Adrian Clark, with some help from their friends Neville
Marten and Guthrie Govan.
Are
these actual solos by famous players?
No, this music is all ours, but in the style of the blues greats. We have
lots of experience in recreating the sounds and styles of famous guitarists.
Haven't
I heard one of these jam tracks before?
Some of them have appeared in Guitarist magazine. However, Future Publishing
only stock very recent back issues of their magazines, so we thought we
should make all of this music available... for ever!
I
still don't understand what I'm getting for my money!
Actions speak louder than words, so go and grab yourself some free
samples!
PURCHASING
& DOWNLOADING
I'm worried about buying things online
We use secure payment and download systems created by a reputable company.
We also have a comprehensive set of Terms
and Conditions and a Privacy Policy
which we recommend you read to put your mind at rest.
Why
do you need my email address?
We ask for your email address at the checkout stage, because we then send
your unique download codes to this address. This will only be used for
your download codes; if you want to hear our latest news, sign up to our
mailing list.
How
does the payment process work?
1. When you're ready to pay, click "View Basket", and check
the contents are correct.
2. Enter your email address in the box provided. PLEASE
check this
carefully... this email address is where we'll send your unique download
code!
3. Click the PayPal icon and you'll be transferred to the Paypal site.
If you have a Paypal account, follow the login instructions; if not, scroll
down to pay with a standard credit card.
4. After payment, you will automatically be directed to the download area
within the bluesjamtracks.com site. Please note you will NOT
have any download codes at this point. Check your email!
How
do I get my downloads?
Remember to check the email address you gave in #2 above! You'll receive
a confirmation email containing the important download code.
Carefully enter the code (we recommend that you copy and paste) into the
box on the download page. Click "proceed"; and your jam track
files will download to your desktop. These files will be in .zip format
for faster downloads, so you'll need to expand them using Winzip or Stuffit.
PLEASE make sure you download your tracks as soon as
you get the email! For security purposes, the code is only valid for a
limited time!
I
haven't received my download code
Check your spam filter... it may be that it is diverting our messages
into a "junk" mailbox, because it doesn't recognise the sender
name.
Make sure you give us a functional email address! We'll do whatever we
can to get your jam tracks to you, but please help us by making sure your
inbox isn't full. You might like to consider a Google or Yahoo mail account,
where the storage space is very generous.
The
code doesn't work
First, please check carefully! The files may already have downloaded,
or you may have your web browser set to download files to a location other
than your desktop. If the files are definitely not there, try again...
instead of typing the code manually, copy and paste it from the email.
I
tried all that, but it's not working
You get three chances to download, and then the link will expire. If you're
still having problems, please get in touch via the "contact"
link at the top of this page. Tell us exactly what the problem is, and
we'll make sure you get your jam tracks.
TECHNICAL
QUESTIONS
How good is the mp3 quality?
All mp3 tracks (solos, jam tracks, licks) are encoded at 192kbps. We felt
that this was the best compromise between sound quality and download time.
You can hear for yourself... the product pages have free previews for
all tracks.
What
do I need to listen to the mp3s?
There are several options for mp3 software. Apple's iTunes is one of the
best, and works on both Mac and PC. All of our audio tracks have complete
ID3 tags, so just select "Add to Library" and iTunes will arrange
them according to album. For the PC, there's also Winamp or Windows Media
Player. If you prefer to use a CD player, just burn the mp3s onto a CD
(remember to choose "audio CD" format).
What
do I need to view the transcriptions?
If you're using a Windows PC, you can use the Powertab Editor program
(free download)
to view the PTB files. This program allows you to listen to the solos
in MIDI format, and you can adjust the tempo for more effective practising.
All of the transcriptions are also in PDF format, which will work for
both Mac and PC, as long as you have Acrobat Reader (Mac/PC) or Preview
(Mac only)
AND
FINALLY...
I'm a white English bank manager and my good woman has never done
me wrong. Can I still play the blues?
Of course! There's plenty of mojo for everyone. Just close your eyes,
imagine you can smell the Mississippi and play those blues... |
