Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my new song! The most important general point to make is that I tuned UP a semitone (F Bb Eb Ab C F) but we’re following the same procedure as with downtuning – we treat the guitar as a “transposing instrument” so the Tab and chord names are for standard tuning. I also followed this policy on the breakdown videos. So, although this looks like a song in B minor, you actually hear a song in C minor! If you want to stay in standard tuning, you could use an audio player to lower the pitch of the audio/video files by a semitone, or you could play everything one fret higher. Or just grab a guitar with light strings and tune up like me! |
