The Organ Blues Sessions

All the tracks were recorded live in the studio with Denny's regular organ trio so you know that you are jamming with live musicians in a full band context. This gives you an rare opportunity to step into Denny's shoes and jam with some highly skilled professionals in a real world situation.

In the included tracks notes written by Denny - designed to aid your own improvisations after you have learnt Denny's - he mentions that his inspiration for this series dates back to a time when Jazz and Blues were interlinked and players simply played what they felt and heard - a good lesson for all of us!

The 5 tracks feature plenty of plenty of 'combination' techniques fusing the world of Blues (with its Minor Pentatonic, Blues scales and simplistic soulful melodic approaches) with the world of Jazz (utilising complex phrasing, modes, altered and extended harmonic devices and chromatic passing tones between chord tones). This creates a potent mixture of melodically, rhythmically and harmonically interesting guitar lines played with the laid back soul of classic Blues.

Included are 5 solos, 5 backings, and tab/notation.
